Dutch Bridge League

Teams

The Dutch teams league is organized as follows. The highest class is the Meesterklasse (Master class) and consists of twelve club teams. All the Dutch internationals play in the Meesterklasse. From the twelve teams, the bottom three demote. The next highest class is the Eerste divisie. Normally there are 24 teams in this class of which the highest three promote and the lowest eight demote. Both the Meesterklasse and the Eerste divisie are nationwide.

The next class is the Tweede divisie (eight groups, regional).

Duplicate

The Dutch teams league is based on club teams. The duplicate league is based on partnerships. The organization is more or less the same. The Meesterklasse is the highest class and 24 pairs compete. The lowest eight demote to the Eerste divisie. The eight Tweede divisie groups play regional.

The highest class for the ladies is the Bondsklasse A (14 pairs)
